Hello, HauntedNovels.net! Sorry in advance; I’m not usually one to post on forums. I’m mostly here because I’ve got this stupid theory bouncing around my head which I’ve got to get out somewhere, and this seems like as good of a place as any to try and look for answers.

So: I’m at uni studying literature, and we’ve been reading a novel by this old Victorian bloke, Valére Vitale. Fascinating stuff. Wrote a lot of psychological shit with really interesting and nuanced female protagonists. That’s all well and good, but our professor showed us some photographs of the guy, one day, and that’s what’s freaking me out. There’s this guy who sits in the front of the room every day; he’s probably a grad student since he looks to be in his mid to late thirties. Speaking of looks, though: he’s fucking identical to Vitale. Same beauty marks, and everything. The guy’s got no friends, and he’s been extra cagey lately. I think some other people are teasing him about it, and I feel like a bit of a wanker for contributing to that, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Is he a vampire? The resemblance is just too uncanny for him to be the guy’s great grandson or something. It’s possible, I guess, but I’m not convinced it’s that simple. I’ve been trying to dig up information on the guy, but I don’t know his last name and my professor won’t tell me. I’m not even sure I know his first name, actually? I cannot for the life of me remember what our professor addresses him as. Anyway, I know he has to be hiding something, but you all can’t exactly help me research a guy whose name I don’t even know.

Vitale, however, is another matter. Can any of you help me dig up information on him? Maybe it’s silly, but I guess I mostly need confirmation that this is all in my head. That, or confirmation that vampires are real? I don’t know. Help me out here.
Hey there! I'm new here! I'm specifically looking for information on an obscure Victorian author named Valére Vitale, please check out my post here for more detailed info! Any help anybody can offer is greatly appreciated!!

A picture of Bela Lugosi as Dracula, but with bright pink cat ears, whiskers, and a cat tail. It also has a lot of pink airbrushed pixels on the edges.

Vamp are you in London? It looks like the guy lived there, so you could probably look for archived newspaper articles at the local libraries.
